KNOW JESUS. GROW TO BE LIKE HIM. GO TELL OTHERS ABOUT HIM.

Ministry Update: 80 Years of Ministry Meets a Brand New App

“… Since we have received this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.” — 2 Corinthians 4:1
“I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” — John 4:38

Over the last 80 years, the global ministry of Emmaus has helped bring countless souls to Christ, grow Christians in their faith, and has served as a proven missionary tool to introduce others to the Word of God.

The ministry continues to thrive today.

Imagine telling the original team in 1941 that, eighty years later, hundreds of courses would be available in over thirty-five languages—all for free, in everyone’s pocket, with instantaneous access to a godly mentor. How could they have even begun to understand the impact?

Truly, God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that we ask or even think.

Even though we are a separate ministry in Canada, we stay connected to the Emmaus Worldwide team, especially as we work together on our free Bible study app, the Emmaus app, which continues to grow in use globally.

Our Mission & Message

For those who don’t know me, my name is Josh Caplan. Peter Kerr has tasked me with the development, administration, and promotion of the Emmaus App in Canada, including mentoring English-speaking students globally.

Peter, at the Emmaus Correspondence Center of Canada, continues to offer printed materials alongside personal discipleship. He continues to see an increased desire for printed material and use of the Emmaus Center in Englehart, ON.

We tenaciously hold to the truth that “God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply.” Please pray that our conduct remains honourable in God’s sight, that we are led by Him each day, and that our ministry—as we seek to be “workers together with God”—will be enlarged.

How You Can Pray

For those who are using the app, especially those receiving mentorship.
As we update our website and social media channels.
For wisdom in implementing new promotional ideas for the app and Emmaus resources (such as partnerships, billboards, transit ads, and door hangers).
For widespread viewing and response to the Family Bible Hour ad across Canadian cities.
For our dedicated Canadian and global mentors.
For our assembly outreach—that it may equip the saints for the work of ministry and provide solid spiritual nourishment across Canada.
