HOW DO EMMAUS CORRESPONDENCE COURSES WORK?

         Each course comes with a short exam, giving a person the opportunity to respond and express himself in relation to the material  taught. Exams are returned to an Associate Instructor who marks the exams, providing helpful, encouraging remarks, & counsel, further aiding the learning process.

Does it work?                       YES!                       For over 70 years the Lord has used Emmaus courses worldwide ....

• in the lives of non-Christian seekers to explain the foundations of the Gospel & challenge them to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour; 
• in the lives of new believers of all ages in grounding them in the basics of the faith & teaching Bible study skills; 
• in the lives of those who have been Christians for quite some time, challenging & instructing them in God’s Word, abiding in Christ, practical obedience, holy living, doctrine, evangelism, & fruitful godly living.

There are some things about Emmaus courses that we want you to know up front:-

1. Our aim is NOT to merely get you to do Emmaus courses!  Emmaus courses are NOT an end in themselves.  They are just an imperfect 'stepping stone.'  Our real purpose is to get you to  study God’s Word!
2. Emmaus courses are NOT "books" ...  you will get only a little benefit by just reading or 'skimming' them ... Emmaus courses are STUDY ‘tools’ and as such they require some effort & diligence on your part. Mixed with prayer, discipline, and a sincere desire to seek & know the Lord, Emmaus courses can be a huge blessing to you in understanding, applying and living the Bible!

You will get out what you put in!  (Remember: the most worthwhile things are worth your while!!)
