The Gospel of Luke (2 Units)
The
skeptic Renan called Luke’s Gospel “The most beautiful book in the
world.” And so it is! The Lord Jesus is especially presented to us by
Luke as the friend of “publicans and sinners,” the outcasts of society. We
see Him breaking the shackles of national prejudice to show His
tenderness, compassion and sympathy to those outside of the nation of Israel.
We find that women are given frequent and honorable mention, something
quite alien to custom at the time. Luke’s evident goal is to present to
us Jesus as “the Son of Man” and as the Savior of mankind. A study of
this Gospel is bound to be a heartwarming experience. --------------- For over sixty years, William MacDonald addressed the key issues of Christianity in clear and simple terms. Leaving a promising business career to serve the Lord Jesus, he traveled worldwide, proclaiming the unsearchable riches of Christ. His more than eighty works are characterized by an economy of words that only comes by a major time investment in God’s Word. Although William MacDonald went to be with the Lord in 2008, his writing ministry continues to instruct and teach thousands of people today. Here's What People Are Saying! "I've been reading the Bible for years, but sometimes get confused. The study guide for Luke is written plainly and is easy to understand. It doesn't talk down to the student, but instead it brings the Gospel to life. I give the course high marks for keeping everything in context, and teaching me about the contuity of Christ's teachings."
– Roger, Mississippi “Thanks for the great study in The Gospel of Luke and for your letter of encouragement. It is nice to hear from you because here in prison so little encouragement is given when so much is needed. I have grown so much from your courses that my life has been changed and I am able to put God’s truths into practice.” – Mark, Wisconsin |
