Emmaus materials for use as home-school curriculum:-

Based on the principle that “repetition is the art of learning,” each level covers essentially the same Biblical material, but each successive level takes the child a little ‘deeper’ into the principles being taught, gradually building the child’s understanding of Biblical truth. - Studying an Emmaus course is not just like reading a commentary and being told what the commentator wants you to believe - rather, the goal is to make you think & study for yourself, searching the Scriptures & praying for the Lord to teach you!
- Please read the instructions at the front of each course.
- Do not “rush” your study - It is best to look up all the Scripture references so you get a good overall understanding of the material. [Plus, you should not "take the course's opinion" for granted, but check the Bible to make sure for yourself whether it actually says what the course is teaching!]
- Exams made up of multiple choice, true/false questions, and short answers, help to assess the student’s grasp of the material. (The student must attempt ALL questions ... do not skip any questions or leave them blank.)
- The short “What Do You Say” questions are very important as ‘diagnostic questions’ in assessing one’s true understanding of the material. They take one beyond the simple multiple choice format, and require one to answer in one’s own words, thereby personalizing the learning experience. This is very valuable in making application of God’s truth to your life in practical ways. Please read the questions carefully before answering. (Note that some questions have more than one component.) Give a thoughtful, personal, full answer, drawing from your understanding of the chapter just studied. Try to answer these questions as specifically & personally as possible.
